WE HAVE 4 DAYS TO GET 2 BILLS PASSED:
- BILL A7768 /S7006 (Relates to certificate and permit conditions for dormant power generating facilities that are in layup or out of service.)
- BILL A7389/S6486 (Establishes a moratorium on consolidated operations that use proof-of-work authentication). We need to get Republicans on board.

TALKING POINTS: They might not care too much about the environment (of course the air, water and noise pollution are tremendous concerns in and of themselves) SO PLEASE MENTION THE FOLLOWING:
- These facilities are not Big Job Creators: Machines Are Fully Automated, Very Few Jobs (Greenidge reports 31 full time and 5 part time… in contrast with the 58,000 jobs in the FLX Agri-Tourism Industry… most individual wineries employ more than the Greenidge plant does…).
- Payments in Lieu of taxes (PILOT)s are Significantly Smaller Than The PILOTs For The original Power Plant.
- Uses Fossil Fuels.
- Warms Water. Fisherman And Hunters Are Concerned About It.
- Repurposed power plants Unlikely To Get Funding In The Current political Climate if they are Connected To Fossil Fuel Infrastructure, Even Natural Gas.
- The Current recommendations From The Climate Action Council Are NO New Gas Infrastructure At All.
- Urge them to support BOTH bills and to get them passed THIS session!”
