As you may have heard, the State Assembly passed a bill that would place a 2-year moratorium on crypto mining in fossil fuel plants while a full Environmental Impact Study is completed to assess the industry’s impact on air, water, climate, and energy costs.

Bitcoin mining, like the Greenidge facility on the shores of Seneca Lake, is spreading like wildfire in New York and we must ask the Senate to pass this bill and get it to Governor Hochul’s desk for approval.
